MARTIN LUTHER KING

My 8 year-old daughter came home from school telling me what a great man Martin Luther King, Jr was and, that because of him, black and white kids could go to school together. She asked “Why would someone be mean to another person because of the color of his skin?” To know that she hasn’t witnessed racism is a great testament to MLK’s legacy. I’m breathing gratitude for the civil rights Martin Luther King, Jr. fought to protect for us and our children.

School is closed in Port Angeles Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. day and on Friday for teacher in-service but, my yoga schedule is the same as usual. Wishing you well this Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. Peace out…
