The Full Cold Moon on December 4, 2025 is the final supermoon of the year — appearing 14% larger and 30% brighter as it reaches its closest point to Earth. This luminous winter moon offers us a powerful moment to pause, breathe, and release the emotional weight we’ve carried through the year.
To honor this celestial moment, today’s podcast episode “4/30 Full Cold Moon Meditation for Letting Go | Guided Release Practice – December Mini Meditations” invites you into a gentle, spacious practice designed to help you let go of what no longer serves you. Whether you’re craving an energetic reset, emotional clarity, or a soft landing at the close of 2025, this meditation will support you in creating space for ease, joy, and renewal.
To support your release and letting go process, listen to today’s Spiritually Fit Yoga podcast episode, and, see below for a Simple Full Moon Ritual.
🌕 The Meaning of the Full Cold Moon
The Cold Moon marks the beginning of winter’s stillness — a season of reflection, softness, and soul-tending. As the final supermoon of the year, it illuminates what’s been hidden beneath the surface:
-
Old stories or beliefs you’ve outgrown
-
Emotional clutter weighing down your heart
-
Habits that drain rather than nourish
-
Expectations or pressures you’re finally ready to release
This moon is symbolic of completion, integration, and letting go so you can begin the next chapter unburdened.
🌬️ What You’ll Experience in This Guided Meditation
This episode is a short, potent practice that includes:
✔️ Grounding breathwork
To help you settle your body, soften your jaw, and arrive in the present moment.
✔️ Visualization of the illuminated winter sky
You’ll imagine the bright Cold Moon shining overhead, offering clarity, honesty, and softness.
✔️ A gentle inquiry into what you’re ready to release
You’ll be guided to notice where you’re holding tension — mentally, emotionally, or physically.
✔️ A ritual of letting go
Through breath and visualization, you’ll imagine placing your burdens in your hands and offering them up to the moon’s healing light.
✔️ Creating space for what’s next
This meditation closes with a heart-centered intention for welcoming in ease, rest, joy, and self-respect.
✨ A Sneak Peek Inside the Practice
Here’s a short excerpt from the meditation:
“Imagine placing what you’re ready to release in your hands — like a small stone you’ve been carrying for a long time.
See the moonlight dissolve that stone into particles of light, releasing it from your body, your mind, and your nervous system.
Inhale: I allow myself.
Exhale: to let go.”
This practice encourages you to soften, surrender, and trust the cleansing power of the moon.
💛 Why Letting Go Matters
Letting go is not about forgetting.
It’s about freeing yourself.
When you release the pressure to perform, the heaviness you no longer need, or the belief that you must be perfect, you create space for:
-
Ease
-
Rest
-
Joy
-
Clarity
-
Alignment
Just like the moon cycles through fullness and release, we too are meant to shed what weighs us down so we can rise again.

🌕 Simple Full Moon Ritual
- meditate, be still, breathe in and breathe out
- ask yourself “What am I ready to let go?”
- write it down on a small piece of paper
- go outside to safely burn your intention (non-burning option below)
- light a candle
- hold the paper to your heart, feel its energy
- repeat silently or out loud “I let go of ________”
- burn a corner of your paper, release it in a fire-safe container, then watch it burn to ashes
- take your time to feel this release under the full moon
- thank yourself and the moon for guiding this release
Options:
- instead of burning, shred or flush your paper OR imagine your intention dissolving as you offer it up to the moon (as is described in today’s podcast meditation)
- rinse your hands with “moon water” to energetically rinse away any residue of what you’ve let go
To-Do Overnight:
- cleanse your crystals: put them out under the full moon
- make moon water: set a jar of water outside to be charged by the full moon
