GOT A YOGA MINUTE? Pincha Mayurasana practice with a strap to learn alignment in the shoulders. 😊 . . 💥 My left shoulder keeps getting stronger 💪🏾 and healing 🙏🏽 from a previous car accident. This video is me in my personal practice to train my shoulder girdle and brain to learn true north alignment in pincha. It's been a slow, mindful, disciplined home practice to increase strength and mobility while preventing strain or injury. After a year of not experiencing much improvement in physical therapy I dug deep in what I've learned as a yoga teacher and my body told me what I needed to practice, I just had to listen and commit to do the work. 🤗 #slowandsteadywinstherace 🐢 . . 💯 Will I get back to 100%? Anything is possible and with the progress I've made, I actually expect to be better than before! Because of my injury I've discovered my anatomy and shoulder girdle in a new way. Before the accident I wasn't as keenly aware or curious about shoulders as I am now. From not even being able to do child's pose without excruciating sharp electrical pain to playing in arm balances and inversions today, YES!!
